The first progression focuses on a baseline shot. When you catch the ball attack the baseline through the key into the opposite lane line and pull up for a shot.

The second progression works on slicing into the key. Still starting at the baseline, catch the ball and attack the baseline through the key into the opposite lane. Now, slice into the middle of the key for a running hook shot or a controlled fade.
