In this Dr. Dish shooting drill with our friend longtime NBA Shooting Coach John Townsend, he focuses on a drill he used with former NBA and European pro, Sergio Rodriguez.
The drill starts with the player attacking downhill and pulling up for a contested 3 at the wing. From there, the player moves from to the top of the key for a shot off the move. Then the player finishes at the wing where he shoots spot up reps until he misses (starting on a make).
This is a great drill as it combines multiple different type of reps from different spots and challenges players to complete the drill in as little reps as possible.
See how many times it takes you to make 25 total shots throughout the drill. Much like the video, the best way to execute this drill is with a Coach/Parent/Player to help make the passes from the Dr. Dish.
