Drill of The Week

Inspired by the 3X3 Shoot-out Contest, we welcome you to our latest challenge! Now any player, at any level, all over the world can compete “head to head” in the exact same competition format as their favorite 3×3 Star.

This Dr. Dish Challenge is meant to mirror the FIBA 3X3 SHOOT-OUT CONTEST, where a player shoots a series of shots within a certain time frame.  Grab your friends and teammates, have some fun, and see where you stack up against the top 3×3 snipers on our Dr. Dish Global Leaderboard. Remember, speed and accuracy are key!

While it will be most efficient to execute with Dr. Dish shooting machines, it definitely isn’t required and can be executed at home. Just a hoop and a ball are necessary. See the details below: https://www.youtube.com/embed/8qMDYHxMYbM

Here are the official rules of the 3X3 Shootout Competition, which inspired our challenge! Be sure to locate it in

QUALIFIERS:
Each player attempts 10 shots (all worth one point): five from the right wing  and five from the left wing (45º angle from the baseline) and with a 30″ shot clock. In the FIBA games, the 2 men and 2 women who score the most points in the shortest amount of time advance to the final. In case of a tie (same points and time), the tied players shoot again.

FINALS:
The 4 players (2 men, 2 women) attempt 18 shots from four different locations: five from the right wing (45° angle from the baseline), five from the top of the arc, five from the left wing (45° from the baseline) and three from the 3×3 logo. Shots from around the arc are worth 1 point, while shots from the 3×3 logo are worth 2 points. In case of a tie (same points and time), the tied players shoot again.
