Dugan Lyne Named Head Basketball Coach at Martin Methodist College

Following the departure of head coach Scott Combs to Morehead State, Martin Methodist College has announced that Associate Head Coach, Dugan Lyne, will take over the program as head coach for the 2018-19 season.

“I am thrilled to be the next head men’s basketball coach at Martin Methodist College,” Lyne said. “I would like to thank the President, Reverend Dr. Mark La Branche, and the Athletic Director, Mr. Jeff Bain, for allowing me to head this program. I can also not thank Coach Scott Combs enough for being my mentor and friend, dating back to our days at Austin Peay. I also want to thank all of the current and former players, without you this program would not be what it is today. Last, but not least, I want to thank my family, especially my wife, Erin, for their unwavering support. Erin, my son Jimmy, and I are so grateful to be a part of the Martin Methodist family and look forward to continuing to build relationships in the community.”

“We are very excited to announce the promotion of our associate head men’s basketball coach Dugan Lyne to our new men’s basketball head coach effective immediately,” Bain said. “Coach Lyne has been a valued member of our RedHawk staff for the past six years with tireless recruiting energy and a keen eye for leadership. In addition, Dugan’s input and opinions within our department growth have been sought often. I look forward to helping provide Coach Dugan with the tools he needs to build his RedHawk basketball era.”
