Duquesne assistant coach John Rhodes was struck by a car last week in Philadelphia (the team was there to play LaSalle). According to reports, Rhodes suffered a severely broken leg, and a slight fracture in his neck. After Saturday’s game vs. Dayton, Duquesne head coach Jim Ferry said, "“He’s doing better,” Ferry said. “He’s out of the ICU. He’s scheduled to have surgery again on Monday. He’s pretty banged up. But as everybody in this room knows, ‘Big John’ is probably the most positive person out there. He’s been more positive about it to us than we have to him.”
We are wishing Coach Rhodes a speedy recovery!
