Lane Community College Athletic Director, Greg Sheley, is excited to announce the hiring of CJ Edwards as their new Head Men’s Basketball coach.

Edwards takes over for Matt Zosel who left to become the Head Men’s Basketball coach at Southern Oregon University.  “We are excited to have CJ join the Titan Athletics family,” said Sheley. “He brings energy, excitement and successful recruiting experience to our Men’s Basketball program. We are confident CJ will do an outstanding job.”

“I want to thank Athletic Director Greg Sheley and the search committee for the opportunity to become the next Head Men’s Basketball Head Coach at Lane Community College. My leadership and energy will reflect my passion and desire to help young men improve on the court and in the classroom,” said Edwards.

Most recently, CJ was the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator for Corban University helping the Warriors to the Cascade Conference championship in 2021. Edwards has also spent time as the lead assistant at the University of Saint Katherine in San Marcos California and was the associate head Varsity Boys coach at Damien High School in La Verne California.

CJ received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Communication from LaTourneau University in 2017 and earned his Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University of Irvine in 2020.
