Einhorn named Assistant Basketball Coach at Stonehill

Stonehill College men’s basketball head coach Chris Kraus announced the addition of assistant coach Josh Einhorn to his staff for the 2025-26 season.

Einhorn joins Stonehill after one season at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., serving as an assistant coach in one of the most competitive conferences at the Division III level, the University Athletic Association (UAA). Brandeis finished the season with a 14-11 record, including a 9-2 record in non-conference play. The judges reached as high as 28th in the Division III rankings while finishing first in the UAA in assists and three-point shooting.

Einhorn managed the national recruiting efforts at Brandeis, signing student-athletes from Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina, and also coordinated the daily schedules and travel itineraries for the program.

Before Brandeis, Einhorn served as Director of Basketball Operations at Dartmouth for the 2020-21 season, then became an assistant coach in 2021-22. While with the Big Green, he coached three All-Ivy League selections and two Academic All-Ivy team members. During his time with the Big Green, the program accumulated their most Ivy League wins in a two year span since 1998-2000. He remained at Dartmouth for four seasons, working under former Stonehill men’s basketball head coach David McLaughlin.

Einhorn spent the previous two seasons before arriving at Dartmouth as a graduate assistant at Boston College. While at BC, he served as the video coordinator, prepping video edits for coaches and recruiting visits and coordinating the analytics program using SportsCode and other related software. He also assisted in individual and group workouts, helped with travel and meal logistics, and oversaw a dozen student managers.

Einhorn began his collegiate coaching career at Lycoming College in Pennsylvania from 2016-18, helping the Warriors amass a 43-12 record over his two years. The Warriors won a Middle Atlantic Conference championship, climbed as high as sixth in the national Division III poll, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2017. Einhorn was both an assistant coach and director of operations, helping develop practice and game strategy plans along with scouting reports of the opposition. He also conducted individual workout sessions and was the recruiting coordinator for the New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore areas.

A 2016 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in business administration, Einhorn served as a Panther team manager all four years under former head coaches Jamie Dixon and Kevin Stallings, eventually earning the title of head manager. Pitt qualified for the NCAA Tournament three times in four years while Einhorn was with the program. The native of Brookline, Massachusetts, later earned his master’s in sports administration from Boston College in 2020.

The summer after graduating from Pitt, he worked with USA East Coast as the operations coordinator for the team that competed in Italy in 2016, then served as an assistant coach the following summer under Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown.

The Stonehill men’s basketball team made its postseason debut at the Division I level this past season, falling in the quarterfinal round of the NEC Championship Tournament at No. 4-seeded FDU, finishing the season with a 15-17 overall record and a 7-9 mark in league play.
