Felician College staff update

Felician College assistant men’s basketball coach Ivan Lewis of Prospect Park has been promoted to associate head coach, Golden Falcon head coach David DeFerrari released today. DeFerrari also announced the hiring of Eric Powe of Randolph as an assistant and Don Sellari of North Caldwell as the program’s strength and conditioning specialist.

Lewis is entering his fifth season as the lead assistant for the Golden Falcons, including his fourth under DeFerrari. He was on staff when Felician won its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship in 2009-10. He previously served three years as the lead assistant at Elmwood Park Memorial High School

Powe has previous collegiate experience as an assistant at Mercy College and as the inaugural women’s head coach at Sussex County Community College. He was an assistant at Randolph High from 2003-06, and is also active in the AAU scene, most recently with the AMoney All Starz of Whippany. Powe earned a BA in psychology from Ramapo College, where he played football, basketball, and baseball, in 1981.

Sellari joins the Golden Falcons after 5 ½ years as the strength and conditioning coach for the entire athletic program at Nutley High School. He also trained many elite college and professional athletes as the director of performance at the Sports University health club in Fairfield. A former football student-athlete at Rutgers University, Sellari owns a BA in exercise science from Rutgers and a MA in special education from New Jersey City University. He teaches special education at Lakeview Learning Center in Wayne.
