The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball program has hired Zach Ferrell as an assistant coach.
Ferrell comes to the Titans from Chattanooga, Tennessee where he was the head coach of Hamilton Heights Christian Academy for the past seven seasons. Over those seven seasons, Ferrell had a 214-36 record and won NACA Division I National Championships in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The program has been ranked in the Top 25 in the country every year the past five seasons and Ferrell has recruited and coached NCAA Division I signees and two NBA first round picks in the 2018 and 2019 NBA Drafts. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the 11th overall pick in 2018 and Nickeil Alexander-Walker was the 17th overall pick in 2019.
“I am extremely excited to have Coach Zach join our staff here at Eastern Florida State College,” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. “It honestly amazes me that a coach with the ability and resume that Coach Zach possesses, is humble enough to accept this position on our staff. He is a super star in every aspect of this business, and our student-athletes will really be the ones who benefit.”
The men’s basketball team will begin fall practice on Sept. 15 with the first game scheduled for Jan. 22. Check efsctitans.com later this fall for the team schedule.
