Just confirming what I reported in my "Daily Dirt" – it’s now official. IPFW head coach Dane Fife has resigned and will accept a spot on Tom Izzo’s staff at Michigan State. Fife leaves the school as IPFW second all-time winningest coach with an overall record of 82-97 and a mark of 37-35 over four seasons in Summit League play. Fife did agree to a contract extension in March that would have kept him at the school through 2016, but apparently could not pass up the opportunity at MSU. There is no word yet on his successor.
