Fitchburg State University named Titus Manderson as the 12th head coach in the history of the men’s basketball program Thursday. The announcement was made by Sue Lauder, the university’s director of athletics.
Manderson joins the Fitchburg State sidelines after spending the past 15 seasons with MASCAC rival Salem State University. Serving as the Vikings’ associate head coach, Manderson helped guide Salem State to three MASCAC league titles, two NCAA Northeast Regionals and one NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen appearance. In addition, Manderson recruited three All-American selections, while mentoring eight MASCAC Players of the Year and three MASCAC Rookies of the Year.
