Brendan Fitzpatrick joins the Hawks men’s basketball coaching staff in 2024-25. 

Fitzpatrick joins Hartford after being an assistant coach SUNY Oswego, where he was a part of the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the year in 2023-24. The Lakers finished the season with a 26-3 record and went into the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. While at SUNY Oswego, Fitzpatrick served many duties including skill development sessions, recruiting and coordinating film sessions.

Prior to SUNY Oswego, Fitzpatrick served as an assistant coach at his alma mater SUNY Cortland for two seasons, where the Red Dragons went 33-20 and made back-to-back playoff appearances.

Fitzpatrick’s first coaching job was at SUNY Farmingdale, where he served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for a single season. 

As an undergraduate student at SUNY Cortland, Fitzpatrick played four seasons for the men’s basketball team where he was a team captain, SUNYAC All-Conference selection and a scholar athlete. 

Fitzpatrick graduated from SUNY Cortland with a bachelor’s in sport management.
