Former BC Head Coach Skinner headed to BABC

Former Boston College head coach Al Skinner has found his next coaching gig. According to multiple people close to the situation, he will become a volunteer coach with the Boston Amateur Basketball Club. The BABC is one of the top AAU organizations in the country and this gives Skinner a good opportunity to work with some of the best up-and-coming basketball players in New England. Skinner holds 385-291 career record as a head coach (13 seasons at BC, 9 at URI). He was also a teammate of Dr. J at UMass and played for six seasons in the ABA (winning the ABA title in 1975-76 with the Nets). Five-Star recently named the BABC as the #1 summer program of the year (…). This seems like a great addition for an already strong program.
