In the midst of an historic season at the University of South Carolina, head coach Frank Martin has been offered a contract extension according to The State. The Gamecocks, who are currently in the hunt for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2004, have set a program record for regular season wins (24), and consecutive wins (15).  They are also one win away from tying the overall program record for wins in a season (25).

According to The State, Martin has been offered a four-year extension which would be added on to the two-years that remain on his contract and take him to 2022.  He would also receive a bump in his $2.1 million salary.  The new deal would be contingent on approval by the USC Board of Trustees.
