Josh Weatherred has been an assistant coach at Frank Phillips College. Coach Weatherred comes to FPC after spending the past five years at Western Junior College Athletic Conference rival, Clarendon College, under long time head coach Tony Starnes. While there, Josh helped build the program back to a competitive level by producing the four winningest seasons since 1980. He acted as the programs recruiting coordinator from 2009-2014 and his initial recruiting class garnered the first 20 win season in over two decades. Josh was able to sign multiple All-Conference performers and over 20 players moved on to play at the four year level. Josh is a West Texas High School graduate and received his bachelor’s degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. Following HPU, he attended graduate school at West Texas A&M University, where he served as a graduate assistant coach under Hall of Fame head coach Rick Cooper. He resides here in Borger with his wife Molly, who is the head girl’s basketball coach at Borger High School.
