The search to replace Jeff Jackson at Furman is starting to heat up. The three names that I’ve heard that are believed to be involved there are:
• Barclay Radebaugh – Head coach Charleston Southern. He is a former Furman assistant (1990-1994), and has also been an assistant at Miami, South Carolina, Winthrop, Wofford, and East Tennessee State. He has been the HC at Charleston Southern since 2005, and put together back-to-back 19 win seasons.
• Duggar Baucam – Head coach VMI. Has spent the past eight seasons at VMI compiling 118 wins. Also spent two seasons as the head coach at Tusculum (37-19). Knows the SoCon – was an assistant at both Davidson and Western Carolina.
• Lennie Acuff – Head coach Alabama Huntsville. He has been the head coach at UAH since 1997. Won 25 games this past season and has 422 career wins in his 23 seasons as a head coach (UAH, Bellhaven, Berry).
