Garden State Dirt…

Just got back from vacation – trying to get caught up on a ton of things. Here are two tidbits that I’ve heard from the Garden State…

• I have heard that at least two candidates have been on campus to interview for the vacant assistant spot at New Jersey Institute of Technology. The names that I have heard are: Kim Waiters (team tournament director for the Hoop Group), and Will Cabrera (assistant coach Mansfield University). Sounds like this one will be wrapped up shortly. **UPDATE: I have heard that former Marshall assistant Dino Presley is also involved here, and could be the choice. Presley has also worked as an assistant at UMBC, Towson, St. Bonaventure, East Carolina, Drexel, and Hampton. More on this as I hear it.**

• It sounds like there are a few administrative changes at Rutgers…Current coordinator of basketball operations / video Corky McMullen will become the director of player development. He will be replaced by former Scarlet Knights team manager Dave Kenah. McMullen has been at Rutgers for the past four seasons, and was also a GA at Hofstra. Kenah was a manager at Rutgers from 2008-12, and had been working in various video roles since his graduation.
