I still believe that Vermont’s Mike Lonergan is the leader at George Washington (http://hoopdirt.com/blog/77d6920d/mike-lonergan-update/…), but here are some other names that are starting to make the rounds:

Joe Dooley – Assistant Coach Kansas. Is a 1988 graduate of George Washington. Was team captain his senior year. Has been an assistant at Kansas for the past 8 seasons.

Raphael Chillious – Assistant Coach Washington. A D.C. native who has spent the past two years at Washington. Has previously worked as the head coach at South Kent and spent time working for the Nike Elite.

Jeff Jones – Head Coach American. Has been in D.C. for the past 11 seasons, going 181-151 while at American (including 22 wins this past season). Was also the head coach at Virginia from 1990-1998 (146-104).

Steve Pikiell – Head Coach Stony Brook. Like Lonergan, knows new GW AD Patrick Nero from their time in the America East. Just signed a new deal at Stony Brook, but A-10 opportunities don’t come along too often. Could be a wild card here.
