With the departure of Billy Schmidt to Florida, Georgia Tech head coach Brian Gregory is working quickly to replace him. The three names that I have heard are all former head coaches. I have now heard the same names from multiple sources – they are: Stan Heath (former head coach Kent State, Arkansas and South Florida), Tom Herrion (former head coach College of Charleston and Marshall), and Lewis Preston (former head coach Kennesaw State). I have also heard that there may be at least one more former head coach involved. Not sure when the hiring will be made, but will update you as I hear it.
