Glibert Joins Oklahoma Men’s Basketball Staff

Oklahoma head men’s basketball coach Porter Moser announced the addition of Tad Glibert to the staff as director of operations Tuesday.

“Happy to have Tad join the Sooners,” said Moser. “He is one of the most organized and creative guys in the industry. He brings experience from Northwestern and we look forward to him working with our staff and student-athletes.”

Glibert was the assistant director of operations at Northwestern University from 2015-19 and worked alongside current Oklahoma assistant coach Emanuel Dildy. The Mount Vernon, Ohio, native coordinated film exchange, managed film operations, assisted with team travel and helped the coaching staff with on-campus recruiting events.

“I am excited and honored to be at such a high-level university and learn under one of the best coaches in the country,” said Glibert. “The culture that coach Moser continues to build here is special. I look forward to working with a great staff and helping our program achieve a standard of excellence on and off the court.”

For the past three years, Glibert lived and worked in Malawi, Africa and served as the chief operating officer for Circle of Hope International.

Glibert graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2014. He was a two-time team captain for the men’s soccer team and a 2013 Men’s Soccer Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Glibert completed his master’s degree in sports administration from Northwestern in 2016.

Glibert is married to the former Karly Short.
