Two separate sources have now confirmed to me that Grambling will hire Shawn Walker as their new head coach. Walker has spent the past twelve years as the head coach at Elizabeth City State (194-177). The connection here…new Grambling President Cynthia Warrick was formerly the Dean and Chief Research Officer and Professor of Pharmacy at Elizabeth City State.

Walker will replace Joseph Price who was dismissed last month after compiling a 5-52 in two seasons. The official announcement is expected by the end of the week.
