HoopDirt.com can confirm that Julius Allen has been named as an assistant basketball coach on Shawn Walker’s staff at Grambling State University. Allen is a veteran DI assistant coach who spent last season as an assistant at DIII Sarah Lawrence College (NY). The New York native has also served as the head coach at Pratt Institute (NY), and as an assistant at Binghamton, South Florida, Howard, Northeastern, Towson, McNeese State and Long Island University.  An official announcement is expected shortly.
