Haarlow Resigns at Berry

Jeff Haarlow has resigned as men’s basketball coach at Berry College, announced Vikings’ Athletic Director Todd Brooks.

The resignation from Haarlow’s basketball duties is effective immediately. Derek Taylor, the team’s assistant coach, will serve as the interim head coach through the end of the current 2012-13 season. Haarlow will stay on staff at Berry with teaching and other administrative duties through the end of the academic year.

Haarlow was in his 11th year as the head coach at Berry. He leaves with a 137-181 (.430 winning percentage) career record. This year’s team has a 4-15 record and is 1-7 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Vikings have five conference games and the SAA tournament remaining.
