Hack named assistant at Ursinus

Ursinus head men’s basketball coach Kevin Small has announced the hiring of Keith Hack as an assistant coach for the 2014-15 season.

"We are thrilled to add Keith to our coaching staff," said Small. "He’s a bright, talented young coach and recruiter who brings a wealth of experience with him to our basketball family."

"Keith is the perfect fit for Ursinus, and we are excited to have his unique talents."

Hack comes to Ursinus after two seasons at SUNY-New Paltz where he assisted the head coach with recruiting, scouting and on-the-court instruction along with the day-to-day operations of the office.

Hack, a native of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Medaille College playing under Mike MacDonald, as he ranks among the program’s top 10 all-time in career scoring (1,211, 4th), career rebounds (544, 2nd), career field goals made (435, 3rd), career games played (101, T-7th), career three-point field goals made (75, tenth) and career free throws made (266, 5th).

"I want to thank Coach Small for giving me the opportunity to join the Ursinus community and the UC basketball family," said Hack. " I am very excited to get started and to help our student-athletes as we work to compete for Centennial championships."
