Harrington Added to Brandeis Men’s Basketball Staff

L.J. Harrington has been named as an assistant men’s basketball coach on Jean Bain’s new staff at Brandeis University.

Harrington brings extensive Division III coaching experience to the Judges, having served on the coaching staffs at Newbury College, Wentworth Institute and Regis College.

He was an assistant at Newbury from 2002 through 2005 before taking over as the Nighthawks’ head coach in the 2005-06 season. By 2007-08, Newbury went from a four-win team to 21 victories and an ECAC Championship.

Harrington served as an assistant at Wentworth from 2008 through 2010, then was an assistant coach at Regis from 2010 until joining Brandeis. He was promoted to associate head coach at Regis in 2015 after the Pride set a school-record with 19 wins and earned an NCAA tournament berth.

Harrington is a 1985 graduate of Whittier College in California with a B.A. in business administration. He earned an M.B.A from Northeastern in 1990.
