Dennis Harrington, a part-time assistant coach for the men’s basketball team, has been elevated to the full-time assistant position.
“I’m very happy and excited to expand Dennis’ role in our program,” DePauw head men’s basketball coach Bill Fenlon said.
“He’s a high energy guy who did a great job for us last year. He cares deeply about the success of our student-athletes on and off the court and is a perfect fit for DePauw and our team culture. He’s a great addition!”
Harrington joined the staff in August of 2018 and helped guide the Tigers to a 17-10 finish including an appearance in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals.
Prior to coming to DePauw, he was an assistant at the College of St. Elizabeth (N.J.) where he was part of the program’s inaugural season. Harrington also spent a season as a women’s basketball assistant at St. Elizabeth.
Harrington also served as Recruiting Coordinator and Operations Manager and an assistant boys varsity coach, junior varsity head coach and skill development trainer for the Impact Basketball Academy (Florida). He started his career as an assistant boys varsity coach at the Southern Regional School District in Manahawkin, N.J.
Harrington earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in history from Marquette University.
