The search to replace Doug Nichols at Henderson State is moving quickly, and according to a big-time source, the field has already been narrowed down to three finalists. The final three are:
• Chad Dollar (Georgia Tech – Associate Head Coach). Long-time DI assistant who has been at Georgia Tech for the past four seasons. Dollar was an assistant at Arkansas State when current Henderson State President Glendell Jones, Jr worked there. Word is that Dollar’s wife was on Jones’ administrative staff at ASU. Dollar has also worked as an assistant at Wichita State, LSU, Murray State, Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Carolina.
• Dylan Dudley (Henderson State – Assistant Coach). Last season was his first at HSU. Previously worked with HSU AD Shawn Jones at Central Missouri. Has also been an assistant at Tennessee-Martin
• Jimmy Elgas – (Evansville – Assistant Coach). Has been at Evansville since 2007. Has been on staff at Kansas State, Utah, and Texas State.
Sounds like interviews will happen next week. I will keep you updated as I hear more.
