Hepker Joins MNU Men’s Basketball Staff

MNU Director of Athletics Todd Garrett has announced the hiring of Adam Hepker as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, effective immediately. The 2008 MNU graduate and 2013 Hall of Fame inductee was the point guard for three consecutive Fab 4s, including the 2007 National Championship team – where he was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player. He was 2-time Conference Player of the Year, 2nd team NAIA All-America in 2006, and 1st team NAIA All-America in 2007 and 2008.

“We are excited to have Adam return to MNU to assist the Men’s Basketball program,” said Garrett. “His time as a student-athlete and as previous assistant will make this a seamless transition. We are thrilled to have him along side Coach Lamar and a large group of returning student-athletes in the program going into 2021-22.”

He was an assistant under Coach Lamar for 5 years before joining the Grand View coaching staff for 2 seasons. For the last 4 years, he’s been the lead assistant at Ottawa-Arizona.

“I am thrilled to be back at my alma mater for Coach Lamar’s final season,” said Hepker. “And I can’t wait to get started with this group of veterans.”

He lives in Olathe with his wife Amy, and 3 children: Brenley, Bryson, and Brooklyn.
