Just months after ending his collegiate playing career at Central Florida, Bobby Horodyski is already getting his start in the coaching business. Horodyski recently began his tenure as a graduate assistant at Wyoming.
Knowing that he wanted to pursue a coaching career following his time with the Knights, Horodyski spent ample time alongside head coach Donnie Jones and UCF’s assistants, learning as much as possible about the game. He spent two years as a walk-on guard and appeared in 10 contests as a senior in 2012-13.
The Gainesville native earned his bachelor’s degree in finance in May. At Wyoming, he is pursuing his master’s in communications.
At Wyoming, he will work under head coach Larry Shyatt, who served with Jones as an assistant at Florida. The Cowboys won 20 games a year ago and advanced to the CBI quarterfinals.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for Bobby," Jones said. "He will be able to continue to learn from a great staff up at Wyoming. Bobby was an important part of our program and we wish him the best as he begins his coaching career."
