College of Southern Idaho Men’s Head Basketball Coach Jeremy Cox announced today that he resigning his position at CSI, effective March 17, 2014.
Cox, who also coached at the University of Kentucky, the University of Nebraska and Texas Tech University, took over as the head coach last summer when he replaced Steve Gosar.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2013-2014 season with a 27-5 overall record, ranked 10th in the NJCAA poll. They won the Scenic West Athletic Conference title and took second in the Region 18 Tournament.
Cox was voted Region 18 Coach of the Year by his peers.
"We appreciate the skills Coach Cox brought to the College of Southern Idaho and we wish him well in his future endeavors," said CSI Athletic Director Joel Bate.
A nationwide search will begin immediately to fill the head coaching position.
