HoopDirt.com has learned that Jeff Charney has resigned from his position as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at SUNY Purchase to pursue other opportunities.

Charney just wrapped up his 7th full season at Purchase leading his team to 130 wins during his tenure (130-65 0.667%). Charney has also won Four Skyline Conference Championships in seven years.

Charney won numerous awards during his tenure – he is the two time MET Writers Association Metro DIII Coach of the year (2011 & 2014), 2010 D3Hoops.com Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, finalist for the 2014 Glenn Robinson DIII Coach of the Year and two time Haggerty Coach of the Year Award (2011 & 2014).
