HOT: Ernie Kent Receives 1-year Rollover Extension at Washington State

According to the Seattle Times, Washington State Athletic Director Bill Moos will exercise the rollover clause in Cougars men’s basketball coach Ernie Kent’s contract that allows WSU to extend his term in Pullman by one year at the end of every season.  Kent, who just finished his second season at WSU, will now be under contract through the 2021 season.

In two seasons as the head coach of the Cougars, Kent has compiled a 22-40 record – 9-22 (1-17 PAC-12) this season.  He has also been the head coach at Oregon (235-173 – 13 seasons), and St. Mary’s (90-80 – 6 seasons.)  Kent is scheduled to make $1.4 million per season.
