Earlier today, we mentioned that Mercer head coach Bob Hoffman was the "hot" name to replace Dale Layer at Liberty. I can now confirm that Hoffman will be staying at Mercer. With the announcement coming tomorrow, it sounds like the final three are Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer, Oklahoma assistant Chris Crutchfield, and Lehigh head coach Brett Reed. I have also heard Oral Roberts head coach Scott Sutton’s name mentioned here, but I believe that the choice will come from the Meyer, Crutchfield, Reed group. More on this tomorrow.
