Athletic Director, Bill Heath, announced today that Coach John Shoffner has resigned as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Webber International University. The resignation is in effective immediately. Shoffner has been the Warriors head coach for 11 years.

“I have the utmost respect for Coach John Shoffner,” stated Heath. “When I became the AD at Webber, he was my first hire. John and his family are what Webber is all about,” Heath added. “I will miss John, and I thank him for his 18 years of total service, his loyalty, and his ability to have such an impact on student-athlete’s lives.”

Assistant coach, Gabriel Rutledge, has been named the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.
