According to a CBSSports.com report, Virginia associate head coach Ritchie McKay will be hired as the next head coach at Liberty. McKay was the head coach at Liberty from 2007-2009 (39-28) before he joined Tony Bennett’s staff at UVA. He has also been the head coach at New Mexico, Colorado State, Oregon State, and Portland State. He becomes the second coach this off-season to be re-hired by his former employer, joining DePaul’s Dave Leitao. The official announcement is expected today.
