According to multiple sources, Jim Baron has accepted an offer to become the next head coach at Canisius. Baron had spent the past 11 seasons at URI before being released last month. He is familiar with the Buffalo area – before URI, he was the head coach at St. Bonaventure (1992-2001) where he went 132-131. Barring any last minute surprises, the official announcement is expected within the next 24 hours.
