I have now heard from multiple sources this morning that Prairie View A&M head coach Byron Rimm II has resigned.  Rimm was in the midst of a rocky tenth season with the Panthers – they are currently 1-18 (1-6 SWAC).  He wraps up his tenure at the school with a 115-192 overall record.  It sounds like associate head coach Byron Smith will be named as the interim head coach, but waiting on confirmation of that.

Prairie View A&M now becomes the second DI job to open so far this season.  UNLV opened earlier this month when Dave Rice “resigned.”
