Sources have told me that Long Island head coach Jim Ferry has been offered the Duquesne job. At this point the ball is in his court, and Duquesne is waiting for an answer (expected Monday or Tuesday). I’ve heard the the offer is in the neighborhood of $600,000 per season for possibly seven seasons (this is similar to what he was asking at Manhattan last year). Ferry has made back-to-back NCAA tournaments at LIU, and has won at least 25 games in each of those seasons.
