Multiple sources have told me that American University head coach Jeff Jones has been hired at Old Dominion. Jones has been at American since 2000 – he was the head coach at Virginia before that. He compiled a 212-182 record in his 13-seasons at AU (358-286 overall). He apparently beat out Cal assistant Travis DeCuire, UNC assistant Steve Robinson, and former Western Kentucky head coach Dennis Felton for the job. The official announcement is set to be made tomorrow.
