Multiple sources are reporting that Central Arkansas head coach Corliss Williamson is departing to become an NBA assistant with the Sacramento Kings. Williamson compiled a 26-62 record in his three seasons at UCA. He played for the Kings from 1995-2000 and 2005-2007 (he was their first round pick in 1995 – #13).

Word on the street is that associated head coach Clarence Finley will be named interim head coach for the upcoming season.

An official announcement is expected today.
