Michael Ostlund has decided to resign as men’s head basketball coach at Snow College after five years running the Badger program. Ostlund had his most successful season this past year as his squad finished 23-9 overall and tied for second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. His teams amassed a won-loss record of 83-73 at Snow during his tenure.
Ostlund replaced coaching legend Roger Reid who left Snow College to become the head coach at Southern Utah University
Before coming to Snow, Ostlund spent five years as an assistant coach at St. Martin’s College in Lacey, Wash. and then five years as an assistant at Salt Lake Community College. While at St. Martin’s Ostlund earned an MBA. He graduated from Weber State University in 1991 where he played college ball and then spent a year there as an assistant coach. He also coached at Bonneville High School near Ogden for three years.
