New England is jumping today – been on the phone all morning talking northeast hoops! Here’s the latest with some updated information from some earlier blogs…..
Hartford – I blogged earlier that BC’s John Gallagher was at the top of the short list. It now sounds like it’s a done deal. He’s expected to sign a five-year deal and be officially announced at a press conference tomorrow.
One more candidate at Dartmouth – Charles Katsiaficas the head coach at Pomona-Pitzer will interview today. He is the fifth and final candidate. The others are here:

Also, we are hearing the Stonehill’s David McLaughlin may also be involved here, but at this point does not appear to be in the final five.
Holy Cross – a flurry of activity today from Holy Cross AD Dick Regan. Steve Pikiell has emerged as a legitimate candidate and it seems like things are moving quickly here. Pikiell is a UConn guy who has really gotten it going at Stony Brook. If this doesn’t get done, look for former BU head coach Dennis Wolff and UMass-Lowell head coach Greg Herenda to be in the mix.
Apparently Eastern Connecticut head coach Bill Geitner is the leader for the Trinity College job. I’ve also heard Adelphi head coach Jamie Cosgrove, Elms head coach Ed Silva, and former Penn head coach Glen Miller are involved.
