Kentucky Christian University has announced the appointment of Charlie Pack as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Coach Pack has shown exemplary leadership skills and player development during his time as Interim head coach, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the KCU Athletics family. With his appointment, we look forward to the growth of the program under his leadership.
Coach Pack served as Interim Head Coach at KCU in the 2022-2023 season and led the Knights Men’s Basketball Program to receive All-Conference, All-Freshman Team Selections, and Academic Athletic Selections. Prior to that, he served as an assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for KCU and spent seven seasons as Assistant Coach for the Varsity program at Raceland Worthington High School. Coach Pack played an instrumental role in the success of the Varsity team during the 2017-2018 season, helping them win the 16th Region All “A” Championship and 63rd District Championship.
Coach Pack is a graduate of Raceland Worthington High School and a member of the 1000-point club. He was also inducted into the Raceland Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020. Coach Pack earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 2002. Prior to his return to coach at his alma mater, Coach Pack spent seven years as either Middle School Head Coach or High School Assistant Coach for Leslie County High School in Hyden, Kentucky.
Coach Pack was also the Head Coach for Cameron Hoskins All-Stars from 2015-2018, a Premier AAU program playing in honor of the life of Cameron Hoskins. During the AAU Spring and Summer Seasons, his teams participated in several Circuits, including Big Shots, Phenom Hoops, and the TYBA-And 1 Circuit, where they were crowned the 2016 16U Champions.
