On Tuesday Western Michigan men’s basketball and head coach Clayton Bates named Jacob Kramer as Director of Basketball Operations.
“I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Western Michigan family,” said Kramer. “I look forward to working with Coach Bates and the rest of the staff and I can’t wait to get started.”
During the 2019-20 season Kramer was an assistant coach at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. In his first season at Highland Kramer helped the Scotties to a 28-3 record and a KJCCC DII championship and Region VI runner-ups.
Prior to Highland Kramer spent four seasons as a student manager for the Iowa State men’s basketball program. Kramer earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State in 2018 in Business Management.
