Reporting to the Director of Physical Education and Athletics, the head coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the men’s basketball program, to include coaching the team; planning, organizing, and supervising team practices; actively identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student-athletes; and working within NCAA, Conference, and departmental guidelines. The head coach will be called upon to supervise and coordinate the work of volunteer assistant coaches and graduate assistants, as well as play a major role in fundraising activities for the program, as appropriate. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity. The head coach may also teach a physical education course and participate in administrative assignments or other duties as assigned by the athletic director.
