| Description: | Barton College is accepting for Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball, a 9-Month Part-Time position with a start date of August 15th, 2016. Barton College Athletics is a member of the Conference Carolinas and competes at the NCAA Division II level. DUTIES Duties as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach include, but are not limited to: assist in the recruitment and retention of the team that meets departmental roster goal numbers; practice and game coaching; conducting skill instruction sessions; providing leadership to facilitate academic and personal success by the team’s student-athletes; performance of other administrative tasks necessary in coaching the team; involvement in the Wilson community with activities such as community service work, camps, youth clinics, and promotion of the sport. Travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum requirements include: Coaching or basketball background on the collegiate level. Academic credit towards an undergraduate education. The successful applicant will need to have certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. A valid driver’s license is required. Preferred requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; college administrative experience; and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Compensation will be a work opportunity not to exceed 29 hours a week. Pay is $2,500 for the 9-month period.
