The assistant men’s basketball coach will be responsible for all aspects of building and managing a basketball program.  This individual is expected to work collectively with coaching staff using strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills in order to coach, recruit and work with others.

The employee is expected to conduct all assigned tasks in a manner that supports program compliance with NCAA and Emerson College policies, rules and regulations.

Expected duties include:

1. Recruiting quality student athletes. Organize recruiting trips, schedules recruiting visits, evaluate and project talent.
2. Video editing, scouting, and breakdowns. Able to develop and evaluate film to scout opponents, including film exchange
3. Provides group and individual coaching to assist Head Coach with preparing and implementing practices, workouts, and team meetings.
4. Assist in administrative duties. Help Head Coach with schedules, fund raising, team travel arrangements, as well as, other duties.

Preferred: Valid drivers license.  Experience playing or coaching collegiate level basketball. Ability to teach and coach a diverse group of student athletes.
