To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
· Knowledge of and compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division I rules and regulations;
· Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, position detail and strategies;
· Knowledge of budgeting process and basicm microsoft Office Suite ;( Excel, Word, etc.)
· Knowledge of team travel;
· Knowledge of time management, organization and technical skills;
· Knowledge of fundamental basketball equipment needs and ability to order equipment;
· Skills in videotaping and the use of such equipment;
· Ability to teach basketball fundamentals during preparation and practice sessions;
· Ability to motivate team players through effective and appropriate interaction with diverse populations, University community and the public;
· Ability to scout opponents and travel for recruiting;
· Ability to drive student athletes or other students to team activities and/or athletic events;
· Ability to communicate effectively; and
· Ability to coordinate summer camps.
