High Point University is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. HPU is an NCAA Division I program and member of the Big South Conference. This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of coaching and administration of the HPU men’s basketball program. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach will lead student-athletes in their academic, physical and leadership development and promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program in a manner that advances the brand of High Point University.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Experience/Training:

• 2 years of experience coaching basketball; NCAA Division I level preferred

Essential Functions:

• Recruitment of prospective student-athletes
• Evaluation of student-athletes
• Demonstrating basketball skills and techniques
• Assist with strength training and nutrition programs
• Administrative tasks including but not limited to: budgeting, travel and scheduling
• Assist Head Coach with other duties as assigned
