Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Coaching
– Daily instructions with the team
– Recruiting
– Opponent scouting
– Player development
– Public relations
– Travel
– Game scheduling
– Admissions/financial aid
– Community outreach
– Compliance with NCAA, CAA and JMU regulations

A bachelor’s degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with previous head coaching experience on the collegiate or professional level, previous collegiate playing experience and the ability to recruit high level student-athletes, ability to communicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty, staff and the community. Strong administrative and organizational skills are required. Candidates should possess a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability to succeed both academically and athletically is essential.
